NE/Nastran V8.2
is the company's latest upgrade of its finite element analysis tool for
engineers in a variety of disciplines. It adds a next-generation Lanczos
eigensolver based on the same technology that powers NE/Nastran's linear
and nonlinear static solutions. The new eigensolver is more than 10 times
faster than typical Lanczos eigensolvers, with this factor increasing greatly
for large models over a quarter million degrees of freedom. It requires
considerably less memory and handles models with any combination of element
types. A typical extraction time for 10 modes on a complex model (1.5 million
degrees of freedom) is under 6,000 seconds using an 866 MHz Intel Pentium
III desktop.

06 Series of micromotors is small and light, but powerful. The ironless
dc 0615 is 6 mm in diameter, 15 mm long, and weighs 2 grams. It is available

torque of 0.23 mNm, and output power of 0.12 watts. Areas of application

Single port serial to USB adaptors

The OMG-USB-232-1
and OMG-USB-485-1 USB to serial I/O adaptors provide a single USB to RS-232
serial port (OMG-USB-232-1) or a single USB to RS-422/485/530 serial port
(OMG-USB-485-1), providing USB connectivity to legacy or non-USB compliant
devices. These adaptors support standard PC data rates up to 460K bps (OMG-USB-232-1)
and 921K bps (OMG-USB-485-1). Install the included software and connect
the adaptor to your USB port. The device is immediately recognized by the
system. At that point, connect the adaptor to your target device (i.e.,
modem, serial printer, scale, bar code/mag stripe reader, etc.). Now your
non-USB peripherals can have the same connection simplicity and ease of
use as USB aware peripherals. Included are Omega's Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
and Linux drivers to simplify installation.

This system combination
is made up of the TRT (the low-capacity, general purpose reaction torque
sensor) and the PHM-100 portable handheld transducer indicator. This system
is suitable for a variety of industrial and OEM torque measurement applications.
The PHM-100 has a peak hold feature that captures at less than one millisecond
and operates on a 9-volt battery for 60 hours. The TRT comes in ranges of
25 in.-lbs. to 500 in.-lbs. Accuracies are consistent with highly accurate
strain gauge-based load cells.

The Seal-Leak
Detection system is designed to detect seal leaks on process pumps in refineries
and chemical plants. Because many of these machines handle hazardous or
flammable materials, uncontrolled seal failures can result in toxic emissions
and fires. The new system helps detect such failures at the earliest stages
by providing online monitoring and trending of critical seals, a major improvement
over manual sampling strategies. The system directly measures the pressure
across the seal's face, allowing operators to detect pressure changes indicative
of a failing seal.

environments. The fully enclosed, pneumatic hold-down clamps were designed

The AccuFeed
vibrating volumetric feeder is for low-cost precision feeding of water and
wastewater treatment chemicals. Available in sizes from 1 to 6 in. screw

Two new pressure
sensors, the SM5415 and the SM5455, use the company's MEMS-based piezoresistive
pressure sensor element in a small footprint single inline package. These
units are available in gauge, absolute, or differential configurations and
have barbed pressure ports for secure tubing attachments. They come in differential
pressure configurations as well as for gauge and absolute pressure. Straight
or bent pins are available. The products' applications include medical equipment,
HVAC, level detection, barometric pressure monitoring, altimeters, and industrial
control. The SM5415 is available for pressure ranges of 0-5 psi to 0-100
psi and the SM545665 is available for pressure ranges from 0-0.15 psi to
0-3 psi.
