Aero Engine Life Management in the 21st Century
To remain competitive, the world's aero gas turbine manufacturers and
users must find increasingly better ways to predict, monitor and manage
aero engine operating costs. Aero engine support is a major expense of
platform operating costs. Studies have shown that for combat aircraft
this can be up to 60 percent of platform "through-life" costs, with maintenance
support, spares and overhaul major factors. Key to the management of these
costs is prolonging the life of the aero engine. The Aero Engine
Life Management Conference will address the procedures, practices, and
technologies aimed at containing or driving down these costs.
Engine life management is also a vital factor in ensuring the safety and
readiness of the worldwide fleet.

Unique Access to Military and Commercial Perspectives
Focusing on strategies, methods, and future directions in the discipline
of aero engine life management, the conference provides unique access
to the knowledge base of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, UK Ministry of
Defence, and leading commercial air carriers. This "one-of-a-kind" gathering
brings together a wide range of high-level experts who possess extensive
knowledge and experience in engine life management issues and deal with
these challenges on a daily basis. The conference will emphasize the increasing
importance of affordability and the desire to keep equipment serviceable
and available to meet military and commercial needs cost-effectively and
ensure that taxpayers and travelers get the best value for their money.
The conference is designed to be highly interactive:
- Panel sessions facilitate full discussion of major topics
- Attendees can address their questions directly to the experts, and
- There are frequent networking opportunities.
The access and knowledge afforded by this conference will be instrumental
in commerce with military and commercial aero engine interests. If you
are responsible for designing, operating, or maintaining wing-mounted
gas turbine engines, you will not want to miss "Aero Engine Life Management
in the 21st Century."
Register today to gain access to:
- A "one-of-a-kind" gathering of the world's most knowledgeable
and influential military and commercial aero engine experts.
- Far-reaching presentations on aero engine life management technologies
and methods from military and commercial perspectives.
- Networking opportunities with distinguished presenters
and colleagues in the industry.
- Conference proceedings on CD-ROM.
- Pre-conference workshop: "Gas Turbine Diagnostics,
Prognostics and Simulation," presented by Cranfield University (separate
registration).
- Post-conference aero engine facility tour sponsored
by General Electric.
