These pages deal with the Korean War service of Mr. Art Farr.  Art read some of our other Korean-war related materials on the Internet and volunteered to let us publish his accumulated letters sent home during the war.  Fortunately for us, Art had previously retyped the materials and we were able to use Optical Character Recognition to automate the process of preparing digital materials.

Art was born in Dover, New Jersey in 1932.  After Korea he spent his career in purchasing.  He retired as purchasing manager at Three Mile Island Nuclear.  He and his wife Dee have a son and daughter and three grandchildren.  Currently, he writes "a little".  He has been published in Civil War Times and is working on a biography of Theodore Timby, the inventor of the turret.  Dee and Art are members of the Air & Space Society at the Smithsonian and attend lectures and events.  They both are into aviation and have private tickets.

We are grateful to Art, both for his service, and for his thoughtfulness in contacting us and subsequently agreeing to let us post his memoirs.  We are always interested in publishing additional memoirs.  Please contact us at barlowj@pacificu.edu.
