Professional Development
ASME is committed to helping engineering students
and practicing engineers strengthen their professional
and managerial skills as well be a resource for them on the issues and strategies critical to their career
development. Resources include the Career Develompment Series, Self Study Guides, and the Professional Practice Curriculum which is currently under development.

Engineering Education
College and university ME and MET degree program accreditation; student loans, scholarships, and
fellowships; workshops and conferences for department heads and faculty; career guidance materials; and awards for achievement in ME and MET education.

Pre-College Education
K-12 Education resources and workshops for teachers and engineers.  Classroom materials include
IDEAS - Integrated Design Engineering Activities Series
. Publications include the Guide to K-12 Resources in Math, Science, Enginering & Technology.  Other resources include career guidance materials in print, video and CD-ROM formats. Links to ASME partners include the FIRST Robotics Competition, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS).

Continuing Education Institute
ASME Continuing Education Institute (CEI) offers a wide variety of professional training & courses, seminars and educational products. CEI has short courses, in-company programs, distance/online learning, and technology seminars including Bioprocess, MEMS, Nanotechnology, etc. Training formats are designed for a wide variety of environments including the workplace, seminars, home-study, online delivery, and more.
